Documents Required

• Passport valid for at least three months beyond your intended stay and issued within the last ten years, with at least two blank pages.
• Previous passports (if applicable).
• Completed and signed Schengen visa application form.
• Two recent passport-sized photographs (3.5cm x 4.5cm) with a white background, not older than six months.
• Proof of legal residence in your current country of residence (if you are not a citizen).
• Travel medical insurance covering at least €30,000 for emergency medical expenses, hospitalization, and repatriation, valid in all Schengen countries for the entire duration of your intended stay.
• Round-trip flight reservation or other proof of intended travel to and from Austria. Do not purchase tickets before your visa is granted.
• Proof of accommodation for your entire stay in Austria (hotel booking, rental agreement, or a letter of invitation with proof of the host's address and ID).
• Proof of sufficient financial means to cover your stay in Austria (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, proof of employment with salary slips, sponsorship letter with supporting financial documents of the sponsor). The required amount varies but is generally around €50-€100 per day depending on the type of accommodation.
• Cover letter stating the purpose of your travel to Austria and your detailed itinerary.
• For employed applicants: Employment contract, recent salary slips (last three months), and a letter from your employer stating your position, duration of employment, salary, and the purpose and duration of your intended leave.
• For self-employed applicants: Business registration documents, recent tax returns, and bank statements.
• For students: Enrollment letter from your educational institution and student ID card.
• For minor applicants: Birth certificate, consent letters from both parents or legal guardians, and copies of their passports/ID cards. If parents are divorced, provide divorce papers and custody agreement.
• Marriage certificate (if applicable).
• Copy of your National Identity Card.
